The HID Signo™ Mechanical Keypad Reader 40T combines high performance with durability, making it ideal for harsh environments or situations that require a traditional mechanical keypad. With robust tactile feedback, it works well in cold or wet conditions, for users wearing gloves, or in low-visibility settings.
Designed for wall switch-mounted door applications, the Signo 40T supports a broad range of credential technologies and form factors, including cards, key fobs, and mobile devices. It also supports HID Mobile Access via Bluetooth® and NFC, along with Apple Enhanced Contactless Polling (ECP) for credentials in Apple Wallet.
The reader securely stores cryptographic keys on certified secure element hardware and features smart surface detection to automatically optimize read range performance. Out-of-the-box OSDP support allows secure, bidirectional communication, and remote management reduces the need for on-site maintenance.
Each reader can be configured with multiple credential formats, color options, and mounting or wiring setups to fit your installation needs.
